Announcing the list of honors for 2022, Forbes Vietnam commented: The Covid-19 pandemic marked the 10th Forbes Vietnam List of the 50 Best Listed Companies. The companies on the list are listed on Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HSX) and Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) and have the best business results and growth in 2021 and the 2016-2020 period. Most of the companies on the list are either the industry leaders or have established a competitive advantage in their fields of operation.
According to statistics of Forbes Vietnam, in 2021 the total profit after tax of the companies on the list was 193,183 billion VND, increasing 10.7% compared to last year's list. The total revenue of the companies on the list reached 1,192,754 billion VND. Among these, in 2021 PETROSETCO recorded a revenue of 17,598 billion VND, profit after tax of 265 billion VND, ranking in the top 20 companies with the most impressive revenue and profit.

This is the first time PETROSETCO has entered the list of 50 best listed companies by Forbes Vietnam. According to Forbes Vietnam, to enter the list of 50 best listed companies in 2022, companies listed on the HSX and HNX were evaluated through many steps. In the preliminary round, companies need to meet the conditions of having profits in 2021, revenue and market capitalization of at least 500 billion VND; Subsidiaries that depend on the parent companies or have a low business position will not be considered.
In the following round, companies were quantitatively scored on five criteria: compound growth rate in revenue, profit, the rate of ROE, ROC and EPS growth in the period 2017 - 2021. Next, Forbes Viet Nam carried out a qualitative survey to assess the sustainable development of the business in terms of: the company's position in the industry, the source of profits, the quality of corporate governance, the industry outlook...
The list was supported by quantitative calculation of SSI Securities company. The capitalization was fixed on May 30, 2022. The figures used for the calculation are audited financial statements.
Until now, after 10 times of implementing the list, 138 companies have been honored, of which 9 companies have been present 10 times including: Bao Viet, DHG Pharma, FPT, Hoa Phat, Masan Group, REE, PV GAS, Vinamilk and Vietcombank. The 10th Forbes Vietnam list of 50 best listed companies recorded 9 companies appearing for the first time, the highest number ever.
